Join Us in Supporting Permanent Affordable Housing in Charlotte County

Our Mission:
In response to the critical need for permanent affordable housing in Punta Gorda and the broader Charlotte County area, St. Vincent de Paul, Sacred Heart Conference is proud to partner with St. Vincent de Paul CARES. We are committed to addressing the significant housing challenges faced by the most vulnerable members of our community.

The Challenge:
Many residents in Charlotte County struggle with the high cost of living—finding themselves unable to afford basic needs like rent, groceries, and childcare on current wages. These financial burdens often lead people to seek help for essentials and, in some cases, contribute to homelessness. This initiative aims to tackle these issues head-on by providing secure, affordable housing to those most in need.

Our Goal:
With the generous cornerstone donation of $5 million from the Florida Housing Finance Corporation for the first 15 units and an additional $850,000 pledged by our private community supporters, we are determined to raise the remaining funds needed to complete our vision. Our ultimate goal is to build over 40 units of permanent affordable housing in Charlotte County.
